Study FAQs:

  • The meTriG Study is an at-home, app-based study collecting everyday health observations from people with triglycerides at or above 500 mg/dL. Your observations about your health— tracked in the Folia app— will help clinicians and researchers understand the experience of people living with high triglycerides, including the treatments they use and the symptoms they notice.

  • Participation lasts for 6 months. Track your health observations at least once per week, and more frequently as you notice them. It takes a few minutes each day that you decide to track.

In addition, at the end of the month it will take 15-20 minutes to complete a monthly survey.

  • You will receive gift cards in exchange for participating. Gift cards are sent monthly in return for completing key study activities, for a total of $360 if all activities are completed.

  • In order to be enrolled in the study and receive your first gift card, you’ll need to share a copy of your lipid panel within the first 30 days of data collection.

  • We would love for you to join Folia, and to join the study if you’re eligible! To be eligible for the study, you will need to provide results from a lipid panel (blood test) that show your triglycerides are at or above 500 mg/dL.

If you don’t have a lipid panel, some ideas are below:

Unfortunately, at this time, Folia Health is unable to cover any costs related to obtaining a lipid panel. However, if you think you may have trouble covering the cost of this test, please reach out to us at [email protected].

  • Even if you don’t experience ongoing symptoms or take medications regularly, you’re still invited to join the study if you’re eligible!

You can track health observations if you notice them, and complete monthly surveys to reflect on how things have been going.

  • All data you put in Folia belongs to you, and only the researchers on the study team will see the data you enter as part of the study.

Any data you continue to enter into Folia once the study is over will not be seen or used by the researchers.
