It started with Canopy Series

Canopy Series is our user driven research initiative. You asked the big-picture questions, we helped collect the answers.

In total, 6 reports were created detailing tracking habits for individuals managing Sickle Cell Disease, ADHD & ADD, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and No Diagnosis / Searching for a Diagnosis. You can read those reports here.

Now we are ready to take it one step further.

What is The Arboretum?

An arboretum is a place where trees and other plants are cultivated for scientific and educational purposes.

Our groundbreaking program, The Arboretum, is all about coming together to ask interesting & relevant questions, which are answered on a monthly basis by members of The Arboretum (that’s you!)

The Arboretum is a Folia-run Research Program that asks specific and pointed questions around health topics of interest

The specific topics we focus on will be influenced by our new Community Advisory Board, which will be made up of select Folia users

Arboretum participants answer these research questions once a month, and these questions are separate from your day-to-day tracking in your Journal

On a quarterly basis (every 3 months), the Folia team will share out our report via Zoom to all Arboretum participants & chat about Folia-run Research in general (we will also record this Zoom and email out the report in case you cannot attend it live)

As part of the Arboretum, you can also become an ambassador for Folia, and each user who signs up using your ambassador code earns you an extra $10!

The goal of The Arboretum is to:

Gain deep insights to questions we have in the realm of chronic conditions, medicine, & health outcomes
Via the Community Advisory Board, put the perspective of our users at the forefront of Folia-run Research, ensuring we are focusing our research on the issues & topics that matter most to our users
Give our users more opportunities to participate in meaningful research

Am I eligible to join The Arboretum?

To be a member of the Arboretum you must be a core member of the Folia Community. In order to reach this status you must:

Be a member of the Folia community for more than a month
Track in your Journal more than 4 times, and have your Research Sharing turned On for general research.
Not be an active member of a Folia study - once your study activities are complete, you are welcome to join!

Once you’ve expressed interest in joining the Arboretum via the form below, we will reach out and send you an application to join the Community Advisory Board! The Community Advisory Board will have the chance to work with the Folia team to help shape the topics and focus for the Arboretum, and you will be compensated for participating in the Board.
