CeraVe Itch Relief Moisturizing Cream

Noticed relief from symptoms after 2 days, but experienced some dryness with use. Cream was recommended to me by someone with eczema.

Dupixent
Prescription medication
I started seeing immediate relief within a month of using Dupixent. I’ve been on it 5 years now (missed a total of 2 doses) and have had only 3 outbreaks that would classify as mild. I sometimes get slight bruising at injection site. I use the patient assistance program even with Medicare. It is worth the hassle of learning how to do the shots at home as you give the shot every other week. I use a speciality pharmacy to have the medication shipped to my door. It has to be kept in the fridge. Can be a pain if traveling for a long period of time but worth it. I’ve only had 2 pens fail (out of 5 years) and Dupixent replaced them.

Tubby Todd All Over Ointment

I noticed consistently softer skin after about 3 days of use. My skin felt tacky at first, but softer the next day. It has a more matte, less emollient consistency compared to other ointments I've used.

Calamine Lotion

It stopped the constant itching of the skin. Felt relief after one day. Experienced some dryness and increased sensitivity or irritation. Recommended by someone with eczema.

Vanicream Moisturizing Cream
Price: $13.89-$16.99 (16 oz.)
Skin felt moisturized and soft after use. It didn't seem to be different than other similar moisturizers. While I appreciate that it truly was fragrance free, I prefer products that I use long-term not to have BHT.

Lessened itching almost immediately. No side effects. Prescribed by my doctor.

California Baby Calendula Cream

My skin was a little bit softer immediately after use. Although the cream had a nice texture, the smell was too overpowering. I got it as a free sample, but I would not purchase.

California Baby Eczema Therapy Cream

Skin felt like it had a slight coating after use. No symptom relief after a week. Despite having no added fragrance, it has a pretty strong scent. It didn’t make my skin worse, but also didn’t improve it. Honestly not any different than the other lines by this brand.

California Baby Super Sensitive Calendula Cream

Skin felt a little softer, but no symptom relief, even after regular use. Despite having no added fragrance, it has a pretty strong scent, very floral. It didn’t make my skin worse, but also didn’t improve it. Honestly not any different than the other lines by this brand. Fine for a regular hand cream for normal skin, but it didn’t do anything for eczema.
